I watched this precious family unit and their caring for each other for hours! Prairies dogs especially depend on the family structure for safety and are particularly unique with their affection and “kissing”. Cute as they are they make an excellent demonstration and lesson to young children.

My little darlings love and adore Papa Dallas specially on how he takes care of his little family. They even like the names of his entire family and wanted to adopt an entire coterie. They were so astonished that they wanted to go to the Zoo to see Papa Dallas, Mama Dahlia, and their babies.

My kids found the book delightful just like my kids, they are happy with the family they have. Happy Family is happy children and we are happy parent of course. Just like what Dallas and Dahlia is doing as prairie dogs parent with four (4) puppies, the need for their puppies to feel safe is there. Family is indeed a true blessing that with our parent’s genuine love, we can have everything as long as you’re doing it together as one. Prairie is the French word for meadow, meaning it is a field or an open habitat vegetated by grass and other non-woody plants where cuddly and caring prairie dogs belong.
